What Day Was I Born?
Your birth weekday — and its rhyme, color, name and sign around the world.
The seven days
Every date has a weekday, and people around the world have long given that weekday meaning. England has a nursery rhyme for it, Thailand a color, Ghana a name, Myanmar an animal. Put in your birth date and see all four for your day.

- Tuesday · PinkTuesday's child is full of grace.
- Wednesday · GreenWednesday's child is full of woe.
- Thursday · OrangeThursday's child has far to go.
- Friday · BlueFriday's child is loving and giving.
- Saturday · PurpleSaturday's child works hard for a living.
- Sunday · RedThe child that is born on the Sabbath day is bonny and blithe, good and gay.
How is the day of the week worked out?
Your date is counted on the Gregorian calendar, the one most of the world uses today, for any date from 1900 to 2100. The calendar repeats exactly every 400 years — 146,097 days, which is exactly 20,871 weeks — so every date has one weekday and it never changes.
Nothing is sent or saved: the date goes into the link, and the same link always shows the same day.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find out what day of the week I was born?
Enter your birth year, month and day above. The calculator counts the date on the Gregorian calendar and shows the weekday, along with what that day means in an old English rhyme, in Thailand, in Ghana and in Myanmar.
Does the day you were born on say anything about your personality?
Not scientifically. The rhyme, the Thai colors, the Akan names and the Burmese signs are folk traditions — interesting because so many cultures have one, not because they predict anything.
Which day of the week are the fewest babies born on?
In countries where many births are scheduled, such as the United States, fewer babies are born on Saturdays and Sundays, because planned inductions and cesarean deliveries are mostly booked on weekdays. Where births are rarely scheduled, the days come out much more even.
