How to write Faith in Korean
페이스
- 페pe
- 이i
- 스seu
3 syllables · Spelled by the National Institute of Korean Language's rules for foreign names.
Why it sounds a little different
- Korean doesn't stack consonants, so a short “eu” (ㅡ) slips in — that's where 스 comes from.
- Korean has no F. It's written ㅍ (p), so the F in Faith comes out as a soft P.
- TH has no Korean letter. It's usually ㅅ (s), sometimes ㄷ (d) or ㅌ (t).
Say it in Korean
제 이름은 페이스예요.
Je ireumeun peiseu-yeyo. — My name is Faith.
To be polite, Koreans add 씨 (ssi) after a name: 페이스 씨.
