Common mistakes
- Months 6 and 10 drop a sound: June is 유월 (not 육월) and October is 시월 (not 십월).
- Don't say 일 before 백, 천 or 만 at the start: 10,000 is 만, not 일만.
- Big numbers group by 10,000 (만), not by 1,000: 100,000 is 십만 (ten 만).
- 16 is written 십육 but pronounced [심뉵] — sound changes are normal in fast speech.
