At a clinic or hospital
Say it like this
- 진료받고 싶어요.jillyo batgo sipeoyo.I'd like to see a doctor.
- 열이 나요.yeori nayo.I have a fever.
- 여기가 아파요.yeogiga apayo.It hurts here.
- 어제부터 아팠어요.eojebuteo apasseoyo.It started hurting yesterday.
- 알레르기가 있어요.allereugiga isseoyo.I have an allergy.
- 영어 하는 의사 있어요?yeongeo haneun uisa isseoyo?Is there a doctor who speaks English?
- 보험이 없어요.boheomi eopseoyo.I don't have insurance.

Good to know
- For minor illness, go to a local clinic (의원) rather than a big hospital; waits are short.
- Bring your passport; clinics register you before you see the doctor.
All phrases use the polite -요 style, which works with strangers of any age.
