Minesweeper
Minesweeper
Classic mines, no guessing ever. Flag mode for phones.
Today's board
How to play
Open every cell that isn't a mine. A number tells you how many of the eight cells around it hide a mine. Use the numbers to work out where the mines are.
Your first tap is always safe and opens an area. Every board here is checked to be solvable by logic alone, so you never have to guess.
Mark a mine with a flag. Tap an opened number whose flags already match it to open all its other neighbours at once. A wrong flag there sets off a mine.
Your record is the time it takes to clear the board. Lower is better.
| Keyboard | Tab to a cell, Enter to open. Flag mode button swaps to flagging. |

Tips & strategy
- 1-2-1 along a wall: the mines sit under both 1s, and the cell under the 2 is safe. 1-2-2-1: the mines are under the two 2s.
- A 1 that touches only one hidden cell means that cell is a mine. Flag it, then look for numbers that are now 'full' and chord them open.
- Compare neighbours: if a 1's hidden cells are all also next to a 2, the 2 has exactly one more mine in its other cells.
- In the last few cells, count. The mine counter tells you how many are left; with 12 or fewer hidden cells that total often settles it.
