Sudoku

Fill the grid with 1 to 9. One answer, always. New puzzle daily.

Today's board

How to play

Fill every empty cell with a digit from 1 to 9 so that each row, each column and each 3×3 box holds every digit exactly once.

Every puzzle here is made from a random full grid by removing numbers one by one, and a number only comes out if the puzzle still has exactly one solution. You never have to guess.

Notes mode lets you jot small candidate digits in a cell. The error check marks wrong entries in red if you want the help. Your record is the time it takes to finish.

Controls
KeyboardArrow keys move, 1–9 fill, Backspace or 0 erases, N toggles notes.

Tips & strategy

  • Look for a digit that can only go in one cell of a box: scan the rows and columns that already hold it.
  • If a cell has only one possible digit left, fill it. Notes make those cells easy to spot.
  • When two cells in a row can only be the same two digits, those digits are off-limits for the rest of that row.
  • Work on the most crowded rows, columns and boxes first. They have the fewest options.
