How Well Do You Know Korea?

Ten questions. Food, manners, places, Hangeul.

Question 1 of 10
The most common kimchi is made mainly from…

Ten multiple-choice questions about everyday Korea — food, manners, places and the Korean alphabet. No trick questions and no numbers to memorize. Your result explains every answer.

How is the Korea knowledge quiz scored?

Unlike the personality quizzes, this one has right answers. Each of the ten questions has one correct choice out of four, and you get one point per correct answer, with no penalty for wrong ones and no time limit. Your answers sit in the result link as ten letters, so the page grades them the same way every time it's opened and can show which ones you missed.

The score maps to five levels in equal bands: 0 to 2 correct is Day one tourist, 3 to 4 Curious visitor, 5 to 6 K-drama graduate, 7 to 8 Honorary local, and 9 to 10 Basically Korean. Questions were chosen so that each answer is a settled, checkable fact, such as King Sejong creating Hangul or Jeju being Korea's largest island.

The manners questions describe what's typical, not a rule every household follows; how strictly customs like holding your glass with both hands are kept varies by family and situation. The level names are playful labels, not a language or culture certificate. No answers are saved on a server.
