Why 88%?
Yang Metal is 庚, an iron axe; Yin Earth is 己, a garden field. Earth feeds Metal in the generating cycle. Generating pairs start at 86. One is yang and one is yin, which adds +2: 86 + 2 = 88.
Out of the 10 stems, 1 would score higher with Yang Metal.
Only the year's stem is used — this is a quick game, not a saju (Four Pillars) reading. The points are our own design; the five-element cycles are a tradition, not a science.
