What Color Is Your Personality?
Color personality
Vermilion
You don't enter a room; you arrive.
Vermilion is the brilliant orange-red made from cinnabar, and as a personality it's the bold one: quick to decide, quick to laugh and the reason the party actually starts.

It's you if…
- You've said yes to the plan before hearing the second half.
- Your voice notes are longer than other people's phone calls.
- When something's wrong, you say it — out loud, today.
The surprise
Vermilions burn bright and recover fast, but they remember every kindness. The loudest person at the party is often the one who checks you got home.

Vermilion is ground cinnabar — mercury sulfide — or the same compound made by heating mercury with sulfur. The Almadén mine in Spain, the world's largest cinnabar deposit, was worked from Roman times until 2003 and became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2012. Because real vermilion contains mercury, it's toxic, which is why most modern “vermilion” paint is something else.

What is vermilion made of?
Traditionally cinnabar, a mercury sulfide mineral, or the same compound made in a lab. Because of the mercury it is toxic, so modern paints usually substitute safer reds.

One of the most famous sources was Almadén in Spain, the largest cinnabar deposit in the world, mined from Roman times until 2003.
